A release-ready track sounds finished, translates on real-world playback, and meets technical standards for distribution. It is more than “loud enough.”

Release-ready checklist

Creative / mix quality

  • Vocal clear on phone speakers
  • Low end controlled in mono
  • No obvious mud or harsh fatigue
  • Chorus energy stronger than verses (if intended)
  • Effects support the song, not mask it

Mastering / loudness

  • Professional master on approved mix
  • Competitive for genre on streaming
  • No clipping; true peak safe for codecs

Technical delivery

  • WAV (and formats your distributor needs)
  • Correct sample rate; no accidental conversion
  • Full length; no clicks at boundaries
