Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about our services, pricing,
and how GigTunes works.

Services

What is the difference between mixing and mastering?

Mixing balances all elements in your track, vocals, drums, instruments, to sound cohesive. Mastering is the final step, where your track is optimized for loudness, clarity, and playback across all platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.

Do I need both mixing and mastering?

In most cases, yes. Mixing shapes your sound, mastering prepares it for release. If your track is already mixed professionally, mastering alone may be enough.

What does vocal production include?

Vocal production includes pitch correction, timing alignment, and optional stylistic effects like Auto-Tune. We keep it natural unless you request a specific sound.

What is included in track editing?

Track editing includes noise removal, timing fixes, cleanup of breaths and clicks, and preparing your audio files for mixing or mastering.

Pricing

How much does mixing and mastering cost?

Pricing depends on the service, tier, and enhancements you choose. You can see your exact total instantly in the order flow before checkout. No surprises.

Why do prices vary per project?

Every track is different. Complexity, number of stems, and desired level of detail all affect the work involved, which is why pricing scales per tier and service.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. You always see the full price before you pay. Enhancements and bundle discounts are clearly shown in your order summary.

Do you offer bundle discounts?

Yes. When you combine mixing and mastering in one order, you automatically receive a 5% discount.

Process

How does the GigTunes process work?

Choose your services, select a tier, upload your files, and complete your order. Our engineers then work on your track and deliver it ready for release.

What files do I need to upload?

Ideally, you upload stems (separate audio tracks), a reference track, and any notes about your vision. You can also upload later if needed.

Can I upload files after ordering?

Yes. You can choose to upload later if your files are not ready yet.

Do you follow reference tracks?

Yes. Reference tracks help us understand your desired sound, balance, and vibe.

Delivery

How long does mixing or mastering take?

Turnaround depends on the tier and enhancements you select. Standard delivery is a few days, with priority delivery available where offered.

Can I request revisions?

Yes. Each tier includes a number of revision rounds so you can refine your track.

What happens if I don't approve my delivery?

After each delivery (including revision deliveries), approve the files or request a revision from your GigTunes account. We may send a reminder after 5 calendar days. If we still do not hear from you within 7 calendar days of that delivery, we may mark the order as completed. Each new delivery starts a fresh 7-day review window. See our Terms & Conditions for full details.

What formats will I receive?

You’ll receive high-quality WAV files ready for release, and optionally other formats depending on your needs.

Is my track ready for Spotify and streaming?

Yes. All final masters are optimized for streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
